=MARKET BUZZ: Malaysia KLCI Likely Range-Bound; 1796-1840 Band Tipped
KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 14) -- KLCI likely to move sideways on lack of new triggers in holiday-shortened week; index ended 0.2% higher at 1833.02 yesterday. Overnight Dow Jones up 0.2%, little changed as investors await inflation data. There are concerns that if CPI comes in higher than expected it could spark more selling. Europe stocks finished lower. Brent crude added 0.2%. "The local market is expected to remain subdued in range bound trade, with most market players sidelined ahead of the Chinese New Year weekend break," says TA Securities in investor note. Bursa Malaysia shut on Friday for Chinese New Year holiday. Index tipped between 1796-1840 for the day.
