=MARKET BUZZ: Malaysia’s KLCI May Open Lower; 1680 Support Tipped
KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 11) -- Malaysia’s KLCI likely lower as US-China trade and global growth worries weigh, analysts say; local index fell 0.4% to 1686.52 Friday. S&P/ASX 200 last down 0.2%. Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.3% Friday, while S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite added 0.1% each. April Brent rose 0.8% to $62.10 a barrel. "The FBM KLCI has more downside bias this week, as most technical momentum and trend indicators stayed bearish to suggest further weakness ahead," TA Securities says in morning trading note. Adds, sentiment remains depressed as investors fret over a broadening global economic slowdown and absence of favorable signs of resolution in the U.S.-China trade row; support is tipped at 1680.
